We all have our favorite Cichlid and that may change with a new favorite. Keeping, breeding, trading, buying or selling is part of enjoying this wonderful
species of fish. Thus my reason for this site is to help the hobbyist to find the many possibilities available to them.
| New Section Added
"Other Cichlids" section has been added to the site to cover those species of cichlids not from the Rift Lakes.
Hope this section will assist all "Cichlid Enthusiasts" in furthering their hobby.

Happy July 4th
Another holiday is approaching and hopefully some rain will fall in and around the Alamo City
so maybe fireworks can be celebrated in the controlled areas. It has been very hot as you well know,
but the spawing of the cichlids in the HCCC has been in progress for two months. The results have just
started showing up. The BAP fry only goes for 6 @ $5.00 which is a great deal, if your a member.
Fish shows and auctions are starting up and you should check the local clubs for their dates to
host the events. A major show will take place here shortly as the ACA hosts its national convention.
Here is some info for you:
The 2008 American Cichlid Association Convention

There are some new ads on "Trophs" so check them out.
